White iPhone 4: Postponed For Antenna Fix

It seems Apple is delaying the release of its white iPhone 4 to find a fix for reception issues. At least until later this year, according to experts.
Analysts are thinking that Apple is working first on a fix for the iPhone 4's antenna problem and save on the cost of free bumper cases when the white iPhone 4 finally arrives.
At present iPhones tend to lose signal when a finger is placed over the phone's lower left-hand corner, covering the gap in the phone's external antenna. It most commonly occurs in areas of poor reception and is helped with bumper cases that Apple is giving out for free. The bumper case giveaway is estimated to cost around $175 million.
Experts say that additional losses Apple would endure from free white iPhone cases would be negligible and there's no guarantee Apple will have an antenna fix anyway. However, they also say that the bigger problem now is that Apple is already selling more iPhones than it can supply. So there would be no need to give away additional cases.
